Description

StudioBinder is looking for a Video Content Producer to join our Content & Editorial team.

StudioBinder builds production management software used by filmmakers, agencies, brands, and creative teams to plan and collaborate on productions. Alongside our platform, we run one of the largest educational resources in the production industry. Our blog reaches 1M+ readers each month, and our YouTube channel has over 2M+ subscribers.

If you enjoy developing video ideas, directing shoots, and creating educational content that helps filmmakers improve their craft, we’d love to hear from you. Visit our Careers page to learn about our work culture, benefits, and the typical work day.

What You’ll Do

As part of the content team, you’ll help produce educational videos about filmmaking, storytelling, and production workflows.

Your work will include developing video concepts, planning shoots, directing talent, and editing videos that explain creative techniques and industry workflows. Many of our videos break down scenes from well-known films, explore storytelling principles, or demonstrate filmmaking tools and processes.

You’ll collaborate with writers, editors, and motion graphics designers to ensure each video communicates ideas clearly and keeps viewers engaged. You’ll also help create shorter promotional clips and teasers for social platforms.

A Typical Day

A typical day might begin by reviewing ideas for upcoming videos and refining a concept you’ve been developing. You may spend time outlining the structure of a new piece—identifying examples, scenes, or filmmaking techniques that will help illustrate the topic.

Later in the day, you might prep for a shoot by writing a treatment, planning visuals, or building a shot list. On production days, you could be directing talent, setting up lighting and camera, and capturing footage for an educational video.

Back at the edit, you may spend time shaping the story—assembling cuts in Premiere, refining pacing, and collaborating with the motion graphics team to add visual elements that clarify ideas.

Some days are focused on production, others on editing or creative development. The goal is always the same: create thoughtful videos that help filmmakers better understand the craft.

What We’re Looking For

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Have 5–6+ years of experience shooting or directing video
  • Have 3+ years of video editing experience
  • Are highly proficient with Adobe Premiere and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Have strong storytelling instincts and visual taste
  • Enjoy explaining filmmaking concepts and techniques
  • Are comfortable collaborating with editors, writers, and designers
  • Take ownership of your work and care deeply about craft

Experience creating educational or filmmaking-related content is a strong plus.
