TV Script Generator FAQs
TV scripting basics explained
Television content and viewership has evolved rapidly over the last couple of decades. With the rise of reality TV and social media, Gen Z and Millennials are watching much less scripted TV. That means that the Baby Boomers are still the generation that watches the most scripted TV.
ChatGPT can write a lot of things, including TV scripts. But a word of caution: if you're going to use ChatGPT to do any writing for you, remember that is still just a "recycler" of content and that original ideas should still come from flesh-and-blood writers.
The rule of thumb when it comes to page count vs. runtime is roughly 1 page per 1 minute of screentime. That means, a 40-minute TV script should be somewhere around 40 pages long.
This is a tough question because there are so many ways to make this happen. The traditional route is to get your pilot script greenlit by a network or a streamer. But you might also consider filming either a proof of concept (or even the entire pilot if possible) which might increase your changes of getting picked up.
This is tricky because the legalities of AI generated screenplays is a bit in question. While it might be your basic idea, the AI writing tools have been trained using existing screenplays and if there is enough similarities, there might be an issue.
