This wedding video shot list template outlines every image you need, from portraits of the couple and family members to candid moments on the dance floor. With this shot list for wedding video, you’ll stay organized, collaborate seamlessly, and will make sure your wedding videography team captures every detail.

  • Create a wedding shot list
  • Organize shots by segments
  • Share with your team

Step 1

1. Convey the vision

Every great wedding shot list video starts with inspiration. With StudioBinder's Mood Board Creator, you can make a wedding moodboard with visual references that set the tone, style, and framing for your wedding videography.

After you create a project in StudioBinder, navigate to the Mood Boards page, click Add Images and upload the reference images as an inspiration for the wedding video shot list PDF.

After uploading the images, you can even organize them further by segmenting them into custom Groups. Just click + New Mood Board and click New Group.

The images that are uploaded to the moodboard page can be re-used on the shot list page via the Media Library.

Step 2

2. Create shot lists for key phases

Instead of creating one long shot list wedding photoshoot, simply divide the wedding video shot list into key phases.

Generate shot lists for key events such as Getting Ready, First Looks, Venue Guest Arrival, Processional, Wedding Portraits, Family Portraits, Golden Hour Portraits, Reception Events, etc. When you bucket them into various lists, it will make sure your wedding video shot list template covers the entire shooting day.

To do this, click + New Shot List to create new shot lists like the screenshot below:

You'll add your individual shots later, but right now it's important to create shot lists around the key moments and locations of the wedding day. This will inform what your wedding shot list template should actually have.

Step 3

3. Organize your shot lists into Groups

After forming your shot lists, it's helpful to organize your shot list for wedding video into categories. For example, Pre-Ceremony, Ceremony, Portraits, Reception, Traditions & Send-Off. This makes it much easier to wrap your head around what could be a frenetic day.

For example, your second photographer or videographer can capture the wedding videography while another photographs special reception moments. This will make sure your wedding video shot list guides your entire crew to get all the coverage that is needed.

StudioBinder makes the process of grouping very easy. After creating a few shot lists, you can generate Groups, and drag shot lists inside them.

Step 5

5. Add shot details

So now you've categorized your shot list lists and added reference images, it's time to finalize your wedding video shot list template with important details. This would make sure your wedding videography shot list doubles as a professional video and photo production plan.

Step 6

6. Get crew feedback

Photoshoots are collaborative in nature. This is why it's ideal to invite your second shooters, assistants, or producers to review the shot list for wedding video coverage for the big day. Someone on your crew may suggest creative camera angles and to confirm the wedding videography details are covered for the day.

The comments and feedback will ensure that every wedding shot list template is carefully considered.

7. Print or share wedding video shot list

Before the big wedding day, you can print or export your wedding video shot list PDF to reference with your whole crew. The best part is that you can actually select which shot lists you need to print or export which provides more flexibility.

On the shot list page, click Generate PDF, select the shot lists and/or groups.
