The first step in finding a storyboard artist internship is knowing where to look. If you want to be a storyboard artist, you should become familiar with different studios’ work. Take note of which work speaks to you.
Once you’ve identified your favorite studios, and studios you think your work would be a good match for, go to their website. Most studios have a job page. If they have open internships, you’ll likely find them posted there.
Even if you don’t see any openings, it’s a good idea to reach out just in case. See if there is any contact information for any employees at the studio, or check LinkedIn to see if you have any connections already there. Starting a conversation is a great step regardless of whether or not an internship is actually offered.
